the short of it:
i thought i had lost my honor for a long time. i thought my father stripped me of it.
and it took me years of mistakes and misused fire to learn one's honor is untouchable, no one can corrupt it or repair it except you yourself, no one else can take it away or give it back
reclaiming my honor was all i cared about, more than my own life
i was fighting on the wrong side of history in a century old world war, desperately seeking something i hadn't lost. i was blind. i did many dishonorable things in the name of "regaining my honor." and my hunt drove me to hurt those i love. but when i figured things out for myself the hard way, they recognized my change and forgave me later.
my honor is still everything to me. but because i had to fight hard for it, to reclaim it from myself. i wouldnt want to know myself without it; i already have.
so i guess you could say that's my own worth....

[It is easy to have a conversation through text, and Zuko isn't exactly difficult to talk to. He has no idea why, but he's not interested in getting jumped by Zuko's sister again. Even in this circumstance where he isn't fighting and the most that can be hurt are feelings.]

the way you fight in your world is very different from how we fight in mine. far less formality than our world. no suckerpunches in our battle philosophy... well at least in theory. not literal.
my sister doesnt fight with honor like she should though. she cheats even in a sacred fire duel... let alone seeking revenge on her own without her firebending.

and i cant have her going around trying to fight my fights for me or trying to get revenge i dont even want!
if azula does something to help me theres probably a catch i cant see.. its been a while since she's acted like that, so i dont know what her angle is yet
